Wooden Waves
Overview
This work explores wood not as a material, but as a visual language. The core idea is to create an expressive surface with a strong identity, yet controlled enough to function across real applications.
The pattern is built around flowing, wave-like grain structures. It carries movement and depth, but avoids aggressive contrast or dominant focal points that would interfere with readability. The result sits between two states: it can be perceived as a natural wooden surface, or as an abstract landscape with its own internal rhythm.
Core Artwork — Wooden Waves
The base composition focuses on a continuous wooden surface with pronounced, fluid grain resembling ocean waves. The texture itself becomes the subject — a controlled, sculptural surface.
Ocean Interpretation — Concept Layer
The wave structure of the wood naturally suggests an ocean analogy. Wooden flow becomes water, and small boats appear within it, revealing the direction and movement of the pattern.
Surreal Collage — Controlled Play
Elements from the taiga or culinary context are placed within the wooden waves. This controlled ambiguity reinforces the idea that the pattern functions as both a design tool and a visual narrative.
