Material Pattern Systems
Overview
This project focuses on creating a wood-based pattern with a controlled, harmonious rhythm that can be applied across a wide range of surfaces. The goal is not just decorative — the pattern is designed as a flexible visual system that adapts to different contexts without losing its character.
The flowing grain structure introduces a sense of movement while maintaining visual balance. It avoids aggressive contrast and dominant focal points, allowing it to work both as a background and as a defining surface. The result creates a subtle connection with natural materials, bringing a feeling of calm, depth, and cohesion into the environment.
Pattern
The core wooden surface with a balanced, wave-like grain structure. Designed to be expressive, yet neutral enough for practical use across print and physical applications.
Car Application
The pattern applied to a high-end vehicle, demonstrating its ability to transform unexpected surfaces while preserving a premium and cohesive aesthetic.
Construction Fence
Temporary construction fencing wrapped in the pattern, showing how even utilitarian elements can be integrated into a unified visual environment.
