Authentic Memories
Project Overview
Some photographs are valuable not for their technical quality but for the memories they carry. This project began with exactly that kind of material — a set of old photos taken in a warm, authentic atmosphere.
The task was not simple retouching, but reinterpretation. From the original frames we extracted the key visual motifs — warm evening light, wooden log cabins, samovars, pinecones, and bright taiga flowers. These elements became the foundation of a new visual language.
The Source Material
The original photographs that served as the starting point. They already contain the key motifs: flowers, samovars, pinecones, and warm evening light.
Atmospheric Reinterpretation
Reworked samovar scene. The space is expanded, the composition clarified, and additional details reinforce the atmosphere of an evening courtyard.
Detail Study
Close-up with pinecones. The original mood is preserved, but the scene gains depth, controlled lighting, and stronger wood texture.
Motif Integration
A combined composition that brings together several motifs: pinecones in the foreground, samovars, and wooden cabins in the background.
Graphic Extraction
A decorative pattern created from the flowers in the original photograph while preserving their natural structure and color palette.
Material Adaptation
The pattern adapted for printing on wood. Colors are muted and integrated into the natural grain of the material.
Final Implementation
Final stage — a visualization of the UV printing process, where the pattern is transferred onto wood while preserving its natural texture and character.
